Program Description:
The Interior Architecture master’s program aims to provide students in gaining specialization in various areas of interior architecture. Besides gaining knowledge through scientific research, they are encouraged to evaluate and interpret this knowledge and thus discover their creative identities. The program provides opportunities for advanced studies in both professional and academic fields. In this way, graduate students can both carry on with their studies in the university and in the professional life to serve the needs of the public. Basically, it is hoped that graduate students will have a role in the development of living standards. For that reason, they will be equipped with academic knowledge and required to study in relation with other disciplines.
Admission:
Applicants are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture or Architecture. Applicants are expected to be fluent in written and oral English in order to be admitted to the program. All non-native speakers of English are required to submit proof of English-language proficiency.
Turkish applicants should take the ALES and must satisfy the announced minimum requirements. Applicants who are not Turkish citizens and Turkish citizen applicants who are residents of a foreign country may take the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) instead of the ALES.
A “Statement of Purpose” indicating research interests is required.
Admittance to the program is also determined through a written exam and an interview given before the beginning of each academic year.
Degree Requirements:
The program requires successful completion of at least 21 credits of coursework (7 courses) in two successive semesters; the candidates must take the seminar course in their area of interest and prepare and submit a thesis. Students graduate with 120 ECTS. The duration of the program is four semesters.
